October 28 @ 3:00 pm 4:30 pm

In collaboration with the Hertie School, this roundtable will explore the evolving trade and economic relationship between India and the European Union as both sides work toward concluding a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by the end of 2025. With bilateral trade exceeding €120 billion annually, a successful FTA could create opportunities across technology, services, manufacturing, agriculture, and green industries while deepening strategic cooperation.

The session will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to assess outcomes following the 14th round of negotiations, address challenges such as adapting to the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and market access for skilled professionals, and examine innovative pathways. Discussions will also cover green transition strategies, digital trade frameworks, strategic cooperation, and opportunities for SMEs, startups, and young entrepreneurs, alongside educational and research collaboration.
