November 17 @ 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
India and Australia have made significant strides in strengthening their maritime security partnership, with growing recognition of the importance of the undersea domain in the Indo-Pacific. As maritime challenges evolve, deepening bilateral cooperation in underwater domain awareness (UDA) presents an important opportunity to enhance information-sharing, maritime surveillance and regional security. However, translating shared strategic interests into practical and sustained cooperation remains a key challenge.
The discussion will examine the current state and future trajectory of India–Australia maritime cooperation, focusing on the challenges to deeper bilateral engagement, opportunities for collaboration in undersea domain awareness, and priorities for the partnership over the next five years. As part of the final workshop under the project Enhancing Australia-India Underwater Domain Awareness Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, the panel will also present the project’s key findings to a wider audience from government, industry, academia and the media.
This event is invites only.
