Looking and Acting West: The Past, Present & Future of India-Middle East Ties

The conference, co-hosted with India’s World Magazine, explored India–Middle East relations through the expert panels. It featured the launch of a CSDR policy report and a special magazine edition, fostering strategic dialogue on India’s westward engagement—past, present, and future.

Together with India’s World Magazine, we hosted a conference on the theme ‘Looking and Acting West: The Past, Present & Future of India–Middle East Ties‘. The conference convened a series of informed and substantive discussions on critical dimensions of India–Middle East relations. The conference also featured the release of a CSDR policy report titled “From Trees to Forests: How India-Middle East Ties Evolved Post-2014”, as well as a special Middle East edition of India’s World Magazine.

We had the following two panel discussions, apart from a keynote address by Amb. Sanjay Bhattacharyya – Secretary, MEA (2020–22):
