Ankit Tiwari

Research Associate
Ankit is a Research Associate at CSDR and primarily works on the intersection of Indian foreign policy and technology. At CSDR, he has authored several reports and regularly contributes to DIPTEL, CSDR’s weekly newsletter. His work has also appeared in The Times UK, The Sunday Times UK, The Ken, Frontline (The Hindu), India’s World magazine, South Asian Voices (Stimson), Lowy Interpreter, The Diplomat, Channel News Asia, and other publications.

Ankit is a researcher whose primary focus is on Emerging Technologies and their role in Security and International Relations. He has written several reports on subjects such as India’s policy approach to semiconductors, space technologies and critical minerals at CSDR.

His work has also appeared in The Times (UK), The Sunday Times (UK), The Ken, Frontline (The Hindu), India’s World magazine, South Asian Voices (Stimson), Lowy Interpreter, The Diplomat, Channel News Asia, and other publications.

At CSDR, Ankit also provides research support for papers and project proposals on a wide range of Indian foreign policy and national security issues, including the Indo-China border dispute, India-Taiwan technology cooperation, India-Germany defense relations, and India’s approach to counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, and radicalization.

Ankit previously studied Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Machine Learning and holds an MA in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
