Lt Gen Sanjay Verma (Retd)

Distinguished Fellow

Lt Gen Sanjay Verma (retd) is a Distinguished Fellow at CSDR where he directs CSDR’s work on Indian Defense Industry.

Gen Verma retired on 30th September 2020 as the Director General of Weapons and Equipment at ARMY HQs, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi where he oversaw planning and acquisitions across national and global industries, R&D facilities, and quality assurance. He has extensive experience in apex decision-making processes within government and international entities. He currently consults with DRDO, is a Fellow at the Indian Institution of Engineers and serves as an Advisor/Subject Expert with the UPSC.
