Manu Sharma

Research Associate
Manu Sharma is a Research Associate at CSDR, specializing in visual politics and methodologies for International Security Studies. He supports CSDR’s research on peacebuilding, counterterrorism, and South Asian regionalism.

Manu Sharma holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Sikkim Central University and a Master of Philosophy (Diplomacy and Disarmament) from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has recently submitted his PhD at CIPOD, JNU. His research examines the use of postage stamps in visually articulating national identity and state-building efforts in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. He has presented his work in various international conferences and published in India Review Journal and a Routledge edited volume on War and Semiotics.

At CSDR, he provides research support and undertakes archival research for various projects. He also coordinated the Indo-Pak Conflict Monitor and supported peacebuilding projects in the India-Pakistan-Afghanistan context.
