Our Global Nuclear Futures Program is dedicated to advancing a comprehensive understanding of nuclear technologies, non-proliferation, nuclear energy, and nuclear conflict risks in an increasingly complex global security environment. Recognizing the transformative potential and inherent risks of nuclear advancements, the program conducts cutting-edge, policy-oriented research to address the multifaceted challenges of nuclear governance, strategic stability, and sustainable energy innovation. Through rigorous analysis, multi-stakeholder dialogues, and strategic advocacy, the program delivers actionable insights and policy recommendations to mitigate nuclear risks, enhance non-proliferation frameworks, and promote safe, equitable nuclear energy development.

The program explores five core themes: nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, next-generation nuclear energy technologies, strategic nuclear deterrence and conflict risks, global nuclear governance frameworks, and the intersection of nuclear policy with emerging technologies such as AI and cybersecurity. By fostering collaboration among governments, industry leaders, academic institutions, and international organizations, the program bridges critical gaps in policy and practice, strengthening global nuclear security and supporting India’s leadership in shaping a resilient nuclear future. Our work empowers stakeholders with practical tools, innovative solutions, and forward-looking strategies to navigate the evolving nuclear landscape responsibly and sustainably.
